Tank Cellar

trait

The tank cellar is the place where tanks are installed.

At Château Bizard, the tank cellar of red wines is entirely separate from that of the white and rosé wines. The capacity of the tank cellars is over 2013 hectoliters.

The winery is air-conditioned. Tanks are all made of stainless steel or concrete coated with epoxy resin. They are also thermo-regulated to facilitate both the alcoholic fermentation (transformation of sugar into alcohol) and the malolactic fermentation processes, which helps wine to lose some of its acidity.

Once winemaking is acheived, the wine is aged in oak barrels or in concrete tanks treated with epoxy resin.
