The barrel cellar is a place reserved for maturation in barrels.
The Château Bizard's chai has the following characteristics:
• Underground facility • Constant temperature below 18°C • Constant humidity close to 85% • Automatic ventilation with air renewal of about 4 times per 24 hours • Protected from light • Diamond-shaped ground to facilitate water flow in a single point – easy to maintain
All barrels are placed on a set of spinning wheels (Oxoline system) to facilitate the stirring and racking operations of our wines.
Each barrel can easily be accessed, filled, emptied, washed and disinfected with no handling or movement required.
